In an effort to strengthen youth engagement in sports and encourage young people to return to and reconnect with their villages, while fostering stronger bonds between communities across the Aley district, Moutajaziroun Foundation organized the “Moutajaziroun Basketball Tournament 2026” at Bsous Court on July 11 and 12.
Sponsored by XXL Energy, the tournament brought together eight teams representing different villages and communities across the district: Ain Trez, Rechmaya, Selfaya, Kehaleh, Dfoun, Bsous, Roueisset El Naaman, and Chartoun.
Over two days of exciting competition, the tournament provided a space for young people to come together, showcase their skills, and build friendships beyond the boundaries of their respective villages. More than just a sporting event, the tournament aimed to promote teamwork, community spirit, and a stronger sense of belonging among the youth of the Aley district.
After a series of competitive games, Dfoun were crowned the 2026 tournament champions, while Ain Trez secured second place. The MVP award went to Elias Abi Fadel for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
The event concluded with a special award ceremony, during which MP Ragy El Saad presented the trophy, medals, and prizes to the winning team and recognized the achievements of the players.
