WHO WE ARE ?​

Moutajaziroun in Arabic means “those who are rooted”.

Established by Mr. Ragy EL Saad, the Moutajajziroun Foundation serves as a tribute to the remarkable legacy of Habib Pasha Al-Saad, former President of the Lebanese Republic, and the illustrious history of the Al-Saad family, whose significant contributions were instrumental in the establishment of Lebanon as a modern state. Moutajaziroun, meaning “those who are rooted” in Arabic, symbolizes the foundation’s deep ties to the very essence of Lebanese history, inheriting the honor and pride from the former President and the El Saad family’s legacy that is closely intertwined with the birth of modern Lebanon.

Over the years, the Foundation has committed itself to nurturing a profound sense of belonging among the Lebanese people. A dedicated team of professional volunteers believes in the right of every citizen to feel secure, cared for, and provided for. They tirelessly work towards fostering new opportunities, aiding them during challenging times, and ultimately, strengthening their connection to their heritage. The foundation’s endeavors are aimed at enabling the Lebanese people to thrive in their homeland, nourishing their roots, and bolstering their sense of belonging to this rich heritage.

HABIB PASHA EL SAAD

IN HONOR OF PRESIDENT HABIB PASHA EL SAAD

President Habib Pasha el Saad held the highest positions in the Lebanese state:

  • President of the administrative council of mount Lebanon during Ottoman mandate until the declaration of the Greater Lebanon on September 1rst 1920
  • President of the first parliament held in 1922 during the French mandate
  • President of the Senate in 1926
  • President of the Lebanese Government between 1928 and 1929
  • President of the Lebanese Republic from 1934 till 1936

The Pasha is remembered for his integrity, his love of his country and above all his countryman
